Swamp Song _ Which one feels better?
Lisa Marshall
Hey y’all,
The last time I asked for your feedback on the mix of “Swamp Song,” so many of you listened, responded, and gave me incredibly thoughtful feedback. I appreciated every bit of it. It was really wonderful to have you in the process with me.
So—I have another experiment for you.
I’m giving you two short clips of “Swamp Song.” One is A, and one is B. Here’s the only instruction: don’t try to analyze the mix. Don’t listen for what you think I changed. Let each clip hit your body and notice what happens.
Then hit reply and tell me:
Which one feels better to you—A or B?
And, if you’re willing, give me two or three words about why. Nothing polished or technical. Words like warmer, closer, grittier, deeper, alive, uneasy—or whatever is true for you.
If you want to describe how both versions feel, even better.
“Lisa Marshall is absolutely one of the most gifted R&B and Soul singers.”
