Welcome to the Bundles! Pick up a Bundle or all the Merch ya want  for $200+ and receive a Lisa Marshall  signed "Vintage" poster from one of the oldest, coolest juke joints in East Austin, TC's Lounge! Artist like Etta James, B.B. King and so many other Blues/Soul/R&B artists during the 50's-70's have graced the stage. Baby Girl ran the door and would holla from the back at the room her commentary! When the Lisa Marshall Band started playing Aretha's 'Rock Steady' she would tear across the room and find and dancing partner and get down! Lisa Marshall held a residency there for over a year playing every Thursday night. 

The Women's restroom had two toilets separated by a flimsy plastic shower curtain half ripped down. Everyone naturally wanted to use the toilet toward the back wall. If you used the one closest to the door, whoever had the back wall pot, would have to awkwardly walk past you to get out the door. That bathroom was small ya'll! I found out quick when I came out of the back wall pot and had to turn sideways and suck it in to get around a woman who was on the pot by the door. She was very polite about it. Also, the back wall pot was often sitting to its side due to the very unstable floor it was on.

There were christmas lights strung all around the stage and dance floor. There was one pool table. TC was Baby Girl's uncle. He would sit at an old kitchen table in the back and drink down a big ol' jug of whatever liquor he was in to that night.

You could BYOB but not beer. They served beer. Baby Girl made that very clear to anyone trying to bring in their own beer! Often there would be a giant crockpot of chili. It was delicious. Also, way pre pandemic. I often would bring a flask of tequila that Baby Girl would promptly ask if I had brought. I'd hand it to her and then usually not see it again until the end of the night. Sometimes it was completely empty when I got it back. She was amazing! A real character. 

TC's Lounge was bought by a local musician and his Mom and is now called Sahara Lounge. You'll be pleased to know they kept the esthetic including the 2 toilets and a shower curtain. Although, they buy slightly more heavy duty shower curtains and replace them when they get ripped.  They might have even fixed the floor under the back wall pot.

What a great place to have landed when I moved to Austin! Great memories!
